COMMENTARY | LeBron James has finally won his elusive first NBA title when carrying the load of the basketball world on his shoulders ever since the airing of "The Decision" within the summer of 2010.
Now that he is ascended from great player to future legend, he will be justifiably compared to a different active legend in Kobe Bryant. Bryant does not care if folks like him, and that is part of what makes him the unbelievable player he's. On the other hand, James desires to be adored, despite him saying otherwise throughout a tumultuous first season with the Miami Heat that saw his team exit early at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks.
Despite their distinction in mental makeup, James' talent is going to be the equalizer when it's all said and done. there's no doubting the raw talent of LeBron James and his ability to overpower and impose his will on opponents. but the true test of whether or not James can match Bryant's championship pedigree will return from the mental facet of the game. He has shown vital growth in just one year, and if he continues to mature like he has, the sky is truly the limit for the 27-year-old.
Amazingly, James can still regain on the ground. while he has no real weaknesses, he can improve and become even additional dominant in some areas -- specifically 3-point shooting, where he shot a career-best thirty six % in 2011-2012.
